Coast to Coast Walk · 6 May 2009

We support the thousands of patients and families at Sheffield Children’s, from across the UK and beyond, by funding the life-changing and the joy-sparking. We make clinical care kinder, and bad days brighter. We bring play, laughter and comfort to places where they’re needed the most.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

In September 2009 we will be completing the Coast 2 Coast walk from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay. It's a 190 mile walk created by the legendary Alfred Wainwright. We are planning to make the crossing in just nine days, arduous training has already begun (see picture).

The tired trio will be Mark Oliver - Age: Thirtysomething, Tim Waddingham - Age: Thritysomething and Michael Platts - Age: Classified.

During this journey we promise to:

Get lost almost every day, drink beer, sleep in a camper van (driven by Sir Lance of Sharpe - our one man support team), cry, drink beer, laugh, grow beards, cry again about blisters, drink beer to forget about blisters, want to kill Mark for roping us into it and most importantly raise loads of money for a very good cause.

We plan to raise as much as possible for the fantastically brilliant Sheffield Children's Hospital and ask you to make a donation no matter how small, because every little helps. Don't forget to gift aid your donation, if you pay UK tax it's worth another 28% on top.

Thank you very much for your support !

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
