Cobbetts 5 Peaks Lakeland Challenge · 20 February 2009

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

On Saturday 25th April 2009 staff from Cobbetts LLP, along with friends and family members, will be attempting a 13 mile sponsored hike in aid of Alzheimer's Society.

The walk will be in gruelling high mountainous terrain and take in the 5 Lakeland peaks of Bowfell; Esk Pike; Rossett Pike; Pike O' Stickle and Harrison Stickle.  The combined height of the 5 peaks is 3,888 meteres or 12,755 feet, with the actual height gain during the walk being approximately 1,500 metres.   It is anticipated that it will take the walkers a stamina sapping 10 hours to complete the challenge.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Alzheimer's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
