On the 02 January 1660 General George Monck gathered his men and marched from the town of Coldstream to London.  To mark the 350th anniversary of this historic event Number Seven Company will also march from Coldstream to London along a similar route - some 400miles (approx 25 miles a day)!  We will also live under canvas for some of the march in the inclement British weather in January.  This will be an extremely arduous achievement for all participants and we hope, if nothing else, only to raise awareness of the good work that soldiers are performing abroad on Operations.

Any money raised will go some way in helping injured soldiers and families affected by the death or wounding of their loved ones.  Fund allocations will benefit those individuals whose life has had a dramatic change be it through injury or mourning or even just adapting to a new way of living.  Many of you will have read about those soldiers who have unfortunately been killed whilst on operations.  Few have read about those that return limbless, blinded or in some way changed.

Our march will be difficult and uncomfortable, but we will recover quickly - these funds raised will help those who will never return to their normal life, however much they try.  We do this not for ourselves; but for others.
