Every 90 minutes at least one person in the UK is told that they have kidney cancer. Last year, as most of you will be aware, it came as a bit of a shock when my mum was told that she was one of these people. As there were various complications, the options available to my mum were rather limited - so she had to try a relatively new treatment. As our local hospital knew very little about the treatment, the James Whale Fund was an invaluable source of information.
Unfortunately I am not a natural born runner - so I suspect the 26+ miles will, once again, be somewhat of a challenge... however I am hoping not to fall over at the 9 mile mark this year - so at least I will have a chance of getting round in a respectable time!...
I would be extremely grateful if you would consider helping me raise money for the James Whale Fund.
Thanks for your support.
(Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the James Whale Fund gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.)
