The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 6th May 2010 we will begin our 50 day cycle across the USA to raise money for The Sick Children's Trust, a charity which provides free, comfortable accommodation to families while their seriously ill children are receiving treatment in hospital. They have 7 'Homes from Home' at various children's hospitals across the country, with the capacity to help up to 4,000 families a year.

By providing free accommodation they take away some of the stress that comes with having a seriously ill child and allow the whole family to be together during a time of great emotional hardship.

The Sick Children's Trust receives no government funding and it relies entirely on fundraising activities like this to keep their 'Homes from Home' open. This really is a very worthy cause so please donate whatever you can.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate they'll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it's the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
