Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Ranelagh Half Marathon is on May the 8th. If you see a clapped out just-turned-forty-two-year-old panting along the course behind everyone else, that'll be me. At the time of writing (January) 8 miles is the most I've ever run so I've got a lot of training to do between now and then to get up to half marathon standard!

* 12 Feb 2011 - I'm up to 10.5 miles and my shins are hurting... Good excuse to buy better shoes.
* 22 Apr 2011 - I've started tapering now. I've only managed the full 13 miles once and it nearly killed me so this is going to be interesting!
* 5 May 2011 - I turned my ankle over at the weekend and was limping for a couple of days. It all seems to be OK now but it;s a bit worrying with the race just around the corner.
*After the race - In the end, I managed it in just a whisker over 2 hours. the results are here http://www.ranelagh-harriers.com/results2/110508.html . That's me at position 450, which probably doesn't seem that great but it'll do!
