CMN Land's End to John O'Groats Cycle Ride · 7 April 2008

Caring Matters Now has 3 main aims: 1. To support those affected by Congenital Melanocytic Naevi Syndrome (CMN). 2. To raise awareness about CMN Syndrome. 3. To raise funds for the CMN Syndrome medical research.

Story

When my friend Jim mentioned that he was planning to do the "End-to-End" ride, it seemed an ideal opportunity to realise an ambition and to raise funds for Caring Matters Now. As the date approaches, I'm not so sure - we're both cycling-daft but 105 miles a day for nine days sounds keen, even for us!

Congenital Melanocytic Naevus (CMN) birthmarks can cover up to 80% of the body and there can be other complications including an increased risk of some cancers. The team at Great Ormond Street do a fantastic job looking after their patients and they are doing important research into the causes and potential treatments of CMN, which costs around £30,000 annually. Please give generously so that this research can continue.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Caring Matters Now will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support, Colin.
