Despite great medical advances,  Heart and Circulatory Disease remains UK's biggest killer  -  responsible for the death of almost 40% of the population, many of whom are young. The British Heart Foundation is UK's leading heart charity spearheading vital research into the causes, prevention and treatment of premature heart disease.

I am pleased to report that I succeeded in completing the Trek at the end of November 2008, crossing the magnificent jungles and mountain ranges of Cuba in support of the British Heart Foundation. It was a marvellous experience in the company of a great team of 16 colleagues.  It was a unique challenge and the memories will last for ever.

I am very keen to continue fund-raising for the BHF through to the end of January 2009 and I am most grateful for donations towards  the ongoing work and research undertaken by the Charity. I hope that my endeavours in Cuba will continue to stimulate an interest in supporting this excellent Charity. 

I confirm that I have funded my own travel etc.for the expedition, so all donations will go directly to the BHF.
