Hi friends,
I'm running the British 10K through the streets of London on July 13 to raise money for scholarships for UC Berkeley students to study abroad.
The primary reason students don't pursue study abroad is because of finances – they can't afford it. A scholarship can provide a life-changing opportunity for students who want to study abroad but can't swing it financially.
Scholarships made a difference in my case, bringing me to Thailand as an undergrad, England for my MA (thanks, Rotary!), and then summers in the Irish-speaking Gaeltachts for dissertation research when I was at Berkeley.
