Despite being in the Paras since 1999, this is the first time that I have entered the PARAS 10.  I am planning to run it the entire ten miles, despite carying 35lbs on my back.

I have chosen Blind Veterans UK, because a good friend of mine, Capt Steve Healey, who was tragically killed in Afghanistan earlier in the year had done some previous charity work for them.  I wish to help keep the memory of Steve alive as well as help out a very worthwhile charity.
