In view of the fantastic response during the 1st week of publicising our ride, we have decided to stretch the Fundraising Target from £1000 to £2000.
What started out as idle chat over a couple of beers some weeks ago has turned into something very real and we are on a mission.
Our trip in June 2006 will see us cycling from Whitehaven on the West coast to Newcastle on the East. The 135 mile ride takes us over some challenging hills with hopefully spectacular views to take our mind off the riding pain.
Our chosen charity - The Anthony Nolan Trust do some amazing work for people in need of a life saving bone marrow transplant. We are aiming to raise as much as we can this summer to help them help others.
For every £70 we raise it enables 1 potential life saver to be added to the Bone Marrow Register. Our £2000 could potentially save 28 lives. – Now thats what making a difference is all about.
For more info please visit. http://www.anthonynolan.org.uk/ Your support will be very gratefully received.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Anthony Nolan Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
None of the money raised will be used to fund the trip or buy new bikes.
Help us make that difference - please sponsor us now!
