<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page</p> <p>Contact the Elderly is a charity that combat loneliness amongst our elderly generation, the people that made this country great. They throw tea partys and events once a month bringing isolated elderly people from all over Portsmouth, Fareham and Gosport and bring them together. Most people spend Christmas with their families but these people do not have anyone to spend the holiday's with.</p> <p>We are&nbsp;throwing a Christmas Party on the 18th December for all&nbsp;the elderly people in these groups&nbsp;and the volunteer's that drive them around and host parties for them each month. But food, presents and a hall doesn't come cheap and although we have people volunteering their time on the day we need to cover the costs and these groups are mainly unfunded.</p> <p>I would like to say a very special Thanks to the people that got us to our initial target of &pound;200 (between 2, you managed to raise &pound;175 :-) ), its fantastic to see such generosity and has surpassed what we expected! We have now increased the target on the hope that we can help more people.</p> <p>We would really appreciate any amount you can spare whether its 50p or &pound;5 to help make these elderly citizens have a good Christmas this year.
