British 10k London Run 2006 · 2 July 2006 ·

The nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities and thanks to them fewer lives will be lost needlessly. Raise money. Help save lives. Be the difference.

Story

On July 2nd Tara and I will be running the British 10K to raise money for St. John Ambulance. For a number of different reasons we have decided that fancy dress is the only way to go and will be running dressed as a giant ambulance and giant First Aid box.

Not only are we running the 10K but Tara is also running the Great South Run (with her boyfriend), the Great North Run (with a friend) and the Hydro Active Womens Challenge (with her sister) and I am taking part in the London Triathlon (by myself - I don't need support!). To make things easier for you all we have decided to combine our fundraising efforts in this sponsorship form.

St. John Ambulance is an amazing and very under appreciated charity. The work that we do truely deserves more recognition. Our 43,000 volunteers giving up over 5 million hours of their own time each year and treat 200,000 people.

Not only do we provide First Aid support at all manner of sporting and social events but we also have a range of care projects across the country ranging from homeless projects in Brighton to Breakfast Clubs in Lincoln and Young Carers Projects in Cheshire.
