The charity believes that people should have equal opportunities in education, work and in playing a full part in the community. They believe that support for the families and carers of people with a learning disability is vital to achieving their vision

Hi everyone

Thanks for checking out this website...

So, after years of procrastination and coming up with excuses, I have finally signed up to do the New York Marathon on Sunday 2nd November 2008. 

As my email said, I am running for Mencap Northern Ireland (http://www.mencap.org), who help young people and adults with learning disabilities.

The fund-raising target is £3000 but I am hoping to raise at least this amount.

I would be very grateful if you could take 5 minutes and donate an amount online. 

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.

Mencap will receive your money directly and if you are a UK taxpayer an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
