Story
Hi all,
I find myself embarking on yet another adventure in support of the White Lodge Centre, my son, Conor's developmental centre. This year we are climbing Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. I am joined by friends who have supported me in the past and were also involved in last year’s charity event, Conor’s 3 Peak Challenge where we managed to raise a fantastic total of over £11,000 also for the White Lodge Centre.
On the 9th June 2006, after an arduous entry to the world, Conor was born. Conor suffered massive trauma during his birth and now has severe brain damage, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and visual impairment. He is doing fantastically well, when all things are considered, but it is mainly due to the hard work and diligence that White Lodge (and his mother) put in to his development and therapy.
For those of you that know me, an adventure like this will come as no surprise. But this is my way of raising awareness for this fantastic facility. It costs in excess of £1,000 a day to run White Lodge and this money needs to be found from donations from people like you and me.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure from all over the world. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: White Lodge Centre gets your money faster and, if you’re a UKtaxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Please dig deep and help us to raise some cash to help White Lodge help Conor.
Many thanks, Mark and the guys!
