ALL DONATIONS GO TO CHARITY... NOT ME!!! Hi there- Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. In Sub-Saharan Africa alone there are 25.8 million people living with HIV, with 2.4 million Adult and Child Deaths from AIDS in 2005. A large number of those infected are children: many of whom are in cricket playing nations in Africa. It is not just medicine that is needed, but education and a focus on changing behavioural patterns. Crucially it is also about using the game of cricket as a tool in the fight against the modern plague that is AIDS: bringing AIDS awareness and creating and a self-sustainable environment in which these messages can continue to be spread and developed. CWB’s training sessions have at their heart discussion about the disease both in terms of prevention and treatment. The charity also stands for equality of treatment for those with the disease; children and adults regardless of their status are included in coaching, games and competitions. In November a group of us at Cricket Without Boundaries will be visiting Rwanda and we need your money to make our ability in reaching more people easier. Please be as generous as you can and remember that... every little helps! Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Cricket Without Boundaries Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! "I applaud the work of Cricket Without Boundaries. It is vitally important that we do everything we can to eradicate HIV/AIDS and to help bridge ethnic divisions in Africa. I think sport is an excellent way to raise awareness, bring people together and have fun". Gordon Brown
