THEY DID IT!!
 
Well Dan and Max successfully completed their fundraising efforts over the weekend.
 
On Saturday 4 years worth of hair growth for Dan was gone in about 10mins.We're still shocked at the change of appearence each time he walks through the door!
 
Then on Sunday Max completed the fun run despite being pushed over at the start and getting stood on by the other competitors. He was so badly bruised that the St Johns ambulance insisted we take him to A&E where he was treated like royalty for being the 1st runner through the doors!
 
Thanks to everyone who has donated-we have smashed our initial target and donations are still coming in!

In the next few weeks there will be a new arrival in the Cookward Family. Our  baby brother is due on 25th June 2009 but as a result of a number of health issues is likely to come sooner! At the 20 week scan we discovered that amongst other things he has a major heart defect (Complete Atrio Ventricular Septum Defect) which will require surgery before he is 6 months old.

 

We decided as a family we would like to raise some money for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund to benefit not only our baby but the other 10,000 children who pass through the Yorkshire Heart Centre at Leeds General Infirmary each year.

On Saturday 9th May 2009 at 3.30 pm Dan will be having his head shaved at Mod Salon on Harrogate Road, LS7.

On Sunday 10th May 2009 at 9.45 am Max will be taking part in the 2.5km Jane Tomlinson  junior fun run in Leeds City Centre.
