** WALK UPDATE **

The event took place as planned on Friday 1st March and of the 6 officers going for the full distance, only one managed to make it round. It was a great team effort that enabled the event to be a success and a big thank you to everyone who supported us. As you can see, the money raised so far is well over the £500 target and is going to a deserving charity. There is still some money to come in and this will be added later.

 

** NEW DATE FOR THE WALK NOW 1st MARCH 2013 **

Together with officers from Greater Manchester Police, i'll be attempting to walk the GMP Force Boundary (about 110 miles) over 3 days. We'll be starting on Friday 1st March and aiming to finish on Sunday 3rd March. To try and acheive this, we'll be walking continuously and throughout the night, with just a few short breaks in between.

The walk was originally planned for the 28th Sept 2012 to finish on 30th Sept, which was the National Police Memorial Day. However, due to the tragic events a week before the event, the decision was made to postpone the walk.

I've chosen this charity because of the excellent work they do for the families of our fallen colleagues, and i'd like to raise awareness and support for what they do.
