Story
Well, I got out of my comfort zone and did The Inca Trail in Peru (5th - 15th May 2011). I thank you all who supported me to raise awareness and funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. The proceeds have now gone directly to care for the terminally ill and their family in the hospice and for Marie Curie Nurses in the community. Not too late to donate!
This is truly a trip that I'll never forget! A 4 day trek to finally see the wonder that is Machu Picchu.
Words cannot describe what I saw and how I felt along the Inca trail. My quote up in the mountains was, "I've found the Hanging Gardens of Babylon!" I watched wispy white clouds being formed below us... rising overhead to join the rest of the Cumulus, t'was mesmerizing. At times we were walking along the noisy rushing Urubamba River, through what I can describe as an enchanting forest! The flora and fauna was diverse!
Here's to the memory of my dear father-in-law (Dr. Emmanuel Chang Nov.1929 - Mar. 2011), who passed away peacefully of Pancreatic Cancer and my brother-in-law (Dr. John Winston Chang Jun.1963 - Sep. 2008) of Multiple Sclerosis, after a 20 year struggle. We miss you both dearly!
I thank you all again, for your kind generosity and I believe if we all do our little bit, it adds up to make a whole lot of difference! See Ham and High Express article in my album.
