Following the news that Michelle Mone, through her company MJM International have paid the cost of the flight to bring Corrine back many others have also stepped forward to pay for the French ambulance and associated costs. CORRINE WILL NOW BE HOME ON FRIDAY 4TH APRIL - what marvellous news! ParaMed1, Scotlands private ambulance company, have agreed to take Corrine from the airport to thehospital.
So a big thank you to everyone concerned! .
Headway have agreed to hold any funds raised over and above those needed in a restricted account called 'Corrines Fund' to assist others who may be in the same situation.
Corrine Barrons was a succesful young businesswoman - she won a business award in 2002 - who contracted cancer not once but twice. During her fight against cancer her business failed but determined to live life to the full again she went to work in France for a year.
Four weeks ago she had a terrible head injury whilst snowboarding but following a succesful operation in Grenoble Hospital is showing signs of alertness and should be well enough to fly back to the UK shortly.
Her insurance covered her treatment but not her flight back to the UK but on hearing her situation an aero-medical company- Mediaviation Ltd - has offered to fly her back at cost price.
