Labelled “Cornish Cribs”, the Gems team held a black tie dinner and charity auction to celebrate the launch, which was hosted by well known ’s veteran Simon Weston OBE at the Carlyon Bay Hotel's Golf Club.

Through the auction, raffle and other fundraising activities, nearly £5000 was raised on the night.

All of the funds raised through the auction, and following through Just Giving will be split 50/50 between Help for Heroes and the North2South Cycle Ride - a 990 mile endurance ride being undertaken by six infamous local businessmen, raising funds for the Lizard Lifeboat Appeal (Reg. Charity No: 209603), Mullion Gym (Reg. Charity No: 1131635) and Cancer Funding For Cornwall (Reg. Charity No: 1119002).
