Cosmic supports children’s and neonatal intensive care at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s Hospitals by funding life-saving equipment, ground-breaking research, specialist training, and providing vital support and accommodation for families during the toughest times.

Story

Thank you for visiting my online sponsor form.
I am Cycling 500km from Vietnam to Cambodia.

I decided to take on the challenge to raise money for COSMIC - Children of St.Mary's Intensive care who support the Paediatric Intensive Care unit at St. Mary's Hospital London.

Those of you who know me will know that my nephew was treated there in 2000; he stayed on the unit for 4 months before being transferred back to our local hospital in Southend-on-Sea.

Since COSMIC opened in 1992 they have provided £1,000,000 worth of life saving equipment to the eight bed intensive care unit and have helped to fund a mobile intensive care ambulance which transports children who are too sick to travel.  In addition to this they are constantly working to support the families staying on the unit by providing local accommodation, family rooms and professional counselling services.

I have just begun training for the Cycle Challenge and with only 4 months to go, I have no doubt it's going to be tough – though nothing in comparison to what the children admitted to the unit go through.

Please sponsor me and support the unit, help to spur my little legs on and help COSMIC to keep on providing quality life-saving equipment for the intensive care unit.

Thank you for your time,
