Story

Temi – Spartan Race

6 YOUNG MEN – 1 FOCUS – 100’s INSPIRED!!

From the heart of Waterloo, six young men will venture out to the suburbs of South Africa to a township known as Cosmo City in Johannesburg, with one aim – to teach, inspire, mentor and serve as many young people as possible using the universal language of football!!

All of the young people flying out originate from the long established Hub Athletic FC, part of Oasis Church UK. Hub Athletic FC is one of the projects run by Oasis, a Christian charity working in 10 countries around the world. Our aim is to help young people to move on from whatever is holding them back.

Every year the young people are provided with the opportunity to spend two weeks in South Africa; delivering fun and high-quality coaching to the young people of Cosmo City. The power of knowledge is priceless and we are driven to teach these young people the life-skills necessary to develop into adult role models for their own community. However for this to happen…………
