Courtyard Aberdeen Airport - from London to Rio · 15 July 2016

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Hello!

We are a team of keen sport enthusiasts. For our day jobs we work in a variety of roles at Courtyard by Marriott Aberdeen Airport and Aberdeen Marriott Hotel. This Friday 15 July we will be embarking on an extraordinary challenge.  We have agreed to cycle all the way from London to Rio and walk back all in the same day.

This challenge will be shared by all the Marriott UK hotels and offices on the same day and each property will cycle 160 km and walk that same distance too. All in all we will cover the distance of 18'000 km in one day. WOW, what a lot of energy.

The teams from Courtyard Aberdeen Airport and Aberdeen Marriott Hotel will be cycling from Aberdeen - Ellon and back, and walking from Stonehaven to Dunnottar castle and back.

What’s more we have pledged to raise around £500 per venue for the Prince’s Trust, so please give generously.

Thank you...
