In memory of Corporal Liam Elms RM
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
The RMBF was formed to relieve need, distress or hardship suffered by any person who is serving, has served or is a dependant of a Royal Marine, irrespective of rank. It also provides immediately on the death of either a serving RM or a reservist on duty a sum of money for the next of kin to help them cope with any pressing financial matters.

Story

No words can describe how hard the loss of Liam has hit our family and the family of his Fiancee Jess. Liam touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. We would all like to thank everyone for their donations, they are all truly appreciated. The response is overwhelming but nothing less is to be expected for a true hero.

Since climbing Kilimanjaro in October 09, I am continuing my fundraising efforts by doing The London to Geneva Cycle in September 2010. For those of you who don’t know, I am raising money in memory of my brother Liam Elms, who was a Corporal in the Royal Marines. Liam was killed in action on New Years Eve 2008, while serving in . Liam also saw active service in in 2002 and Iraq 2003. I am obviously very proud of my brother and therefore wanted to do something memorable to make him proud, and to keep his name alive.  Any donations are truly appreciated and will be my driving force behind my challenges.

If your would prefare to donate to Help  for Heroes in memory of Liam, please see www.justgiving.com/Rachael-Elms or The Royal British Legion, please see www.justgiving.com/Liam-Elms

Good luck to Helen Meadows is also completing the Great North 10k in memory of Liam, www.justgiving.com/HelenMeadows.

We would also like to thank everyone who attended and helped out at the 'Elmsy' Annual Memorial Shoot in August, especially Claire Fiddler and family who founded the event. The day was a massive success raising £15,000 for RMBF.

Many Thanks

Rachael and family x
