The Help us Crack UK Hunger campaign aims to raise £1m by Easter.  The money will be spent on opening a further 200 foodbanks around the UK and enabling our exisiting foodbanks to stay open for longer.

Our Chief Executive, Chris Mould says: "This is undoubtedly an ambitious plan and appeal for people to be generous.  It's shocking that one in five mums go hungry to feed their children and our work shows that food poverty is a very real issue in the UK.  The recession, unemployment and changes to the benefits system are making life extremely tough"
