<p><em><span style="font-family: &amp;amp; FONT-SIZE;">Hi all, Craig South here.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-family: &amp;amp; FONT-SIZE;">Well, it’s that time of the year again when I look for your support as I run my annual fundraiser– the <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Edinburgh Marathon </em></strong>on 27th May.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-family: &amp;amp; FONT-SIZE;">As 2012 is the 30th anniversary of my dear <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Mum’s</em></strong> <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">sad</em></strong> (and far too premature) <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">death from cancer,</em></strong> <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">I’m running for her and others like her</strong> who have passed away or suffered from this <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">dreadful disease.</em></strong></span></em></p>
<p><em><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"><span style="font-family: &amp;amp; FONT-SIZE;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>My chosen charity this year is MacMillan Cancer Support.</span></em></strong></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-family: &amp;amp; FONT-SIZE;">Unfortunately, my Mum didn’t benefit from the kindly, <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">professional help that MacMillan Cancer Support provides</em></strong>, but there are countless <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">thousands of sufferers and their families </em></strong>who have - and will continue to do so with the <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">aid of people like you.</em></span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-family: &amp;amp; FONT-SIZE;">We all know about <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">cancer and its destructive nature</em></strong>; I doubt if there is anyone reading this whose <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">family or friends </em></strong>have not <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">been affected by it.</em></strong></span></em></p>
<p><em><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"><span style="font-family: &amp;amp; FONT-SIZE;">And so this year I’m asking you to be especially generous.</span></em></strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"><span style="font-family: &amp;amp; FONT-SIZE;">To everyone</span></em></strong><span style="font-family: &amp;amp; FONT-SIZE;"> whose life has been <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">affected by cancer</em></strong>, not only <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">those who have lost a family <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">member, a loved one or a friend</em></strong>, but those who have <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">suffered, recovered and benefited</strong> from the <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">kindness and care of healthcare professionals</strong> I say this:</span></em></p>
