My story

A massive thankyou to everyone that has sponsored me, your kind donations really will make a massive difference and I can't thank you enough.  I successfully completed the Marathon des Sables finishing 513th out of over 800 starting competitors.  It really was life changing and the most amazing experience that will stay with me forever.  Thank you all so so much once again.

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Ever sat there and thought what can I do to raise some money for a good cause and also do something to challenge your body and mind to its limit!!!  Well that's what we have done.

The Marathon des Sables (MDS) is a 243km extreme race across the Sahara desert.  The equivalent of 5 and a half marathons in 7 days in temperatures of up to 120 degrees C.  It is fully self sufficient and we have to carry everything we need apart from water and a tent on our backs for the duration.  That is why it is known as the toughest footrace on earth.  If you don't believe us take a look at the video on the left!!!

We are raising money for Yorkshire Cancer Research a charity which is at the forefront of the international fight to fund research into the cause and cure of cancer.  1 in 3 people are directly affected by cancer so please dig deep and spare what you can to help us help others and reach our target, it really is very easy.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Yorkshire Cancer Research gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

Update November 2008 - Unfortunately due to work commitments Craig will not now be able to take part in the event but asks that people continue to sponsor Paul in an effort to reach the £8500 target.

Many thanks

Thanks very much to Rosa from the wardrobe in Episkopi who had a charity fashion show and donated this money through the fundraising event Donation by Cyprus Fashion Show 11/07/09
