Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

We’re the 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK. The carers, researchers and healthcare professionals. The family, friends and fundraisers. United by a clear vision: a future free from arthritis. One in which no one is limited by the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis can cause.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Now dig deep and sponsor me!!!

There are two reasons why I would like your support. The first one is the motivation that it will give me through both my training and the race itself. A marathon is 26.2 miles which is an awful long way. Set the mileage clock to zero the next time you go somewhere in your car and see. However by the start of the race I will have run around 600 miles training! The second reason, the financial one, is to support a great charity in ARC. Nearly everybody will know someone who suffers from artiritis. Whether they're old or young the condition can have huge impacts on there day to day life.

So, whether it's supporting ARC or simply the thought of me trouging around the streets of Leeds training in the rain that makes you put your hand in your pocket, thank you.

If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax through gift aid will be added to you amount (this doesn't count towards my target).
