Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm at it again, I must be insane!! I've got 15 weeks to get this 14 stone 9 pd bulk fit & ready to once again run the Virgin London Marathon on the 21st April 2013! This being my 6th Marathon (5th London) I'm setting myself a new challenge of a sub 3:30 marathon. Considering how unfit & heavy I am, can I do it?! Time will tell!
I would really appreciate your support along the way. I've set up a blog page so you can follow my progress, http://www.realbuzz.com/blogs/u/craig0104/sub-3-30-marathon-time-can-i-do-it/
I'm once again supporting Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of my dad & in support of family & friends affected by cancer, therefore donations would be greatly appreciated!! :)
For my Golden Bond charity place, I have pledged to raise a £2000 target for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity who were there for my dad in his last year. My dad put up a brave fight but sadly died from bile duct cancer in 1999. Macmillan were brilliant during this time in supplying Macmillan nurses, health & social care professionals, financial support & information to dad and the family.
You can help me achieve this target by donating through JustGiving which is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
It's my BIG 40 birthday this year so if you want to give me a cash present I'll make sure this goes straight to Macmillan!!!
I really appreciate all your support & thank you for your donations.
Cheers Craig xxx
UPDATE:
April 5th: With only 16 days to go I have now increased the target to £3000! I know with your help this is achievable. It's been a tough 13 weeks of training but I'm happy with my progress so far! 470 miles run (53 runs), swimming, gym, walking, & my longest run this plan 22 miles, 03:04:45, AV mile 08:24/mi. I've also lost 1 stone 9lbs (10.5Kg)! So really chuffed with that too! :)
