Sands is the charity speaking up about pregnancy and baby loss, saving babies’ lives and supporting bereaved families. Together, we are saving babies’ lives and improving maternity safety and bereavement care through research, training and campaigning.

Story

Hello Everyone,

My mad weekend in The Alps went fine and I completed both events.

La Marmotte in 8h6s and The Etape du Tour in 8h3m. The photo on the left is me nearing the top of Alpe d'Huez.

Thanks to everyone who sponsored me. I missed my money target by quite a way ( still over £400) but I'll be doing something similar next year although you can still donate money on this page.

This page will be open to firhter sponsorship until the 17th September.

Many thanks

Craig & VIcky

(Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. As many of you know Vicky and myself now have a beautiful Daughter called Elula. Many couples are not as fortunate as Vicky and me so I have chosen to raise some money for a charity called SANDS, have a look here to see the excellent work that they do. www.uk-sands.org

In July I am riding two of the hardest amateur bike races in France in the space of  3 days!

The first on July 8th is called La Marmotte. It is 110 miles long and involves 4800m (16000ft) of climbing in the French Alps over the classic mountain passes made famous by the Tour de France.

2 days later on Monday the 10th I am riding The Etape du Tour. This is an actual stage of the Tour de France but for amateurs. Once again it is 110 miles long and climbs some of the famous passes in the Alps.

For anyone who knows The Alps I'll be riding The Col du Glandon, The Col de Telegraphe, The Col du Galibier, The Col de Lautaret (twice) The Col d'Izoard and Alpe d'Huez (twice)

In total I'll be riding 359km (222miles) and climbing over 30,000 feet in the space of 3 days so please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SANDS will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
