Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

Hullo!

This page is to support my attempt at the London Marathon on 13 April 2008.

I won my place in the ballot (hoorah!) but in any case I've chosen to run for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, a great little charity doing work for a disability that isn't often recognised.

My aim is to run the 26.2 miles in 4 hours.

So you have 3 choices:
  • sponsor me;
  • run the race yourself; or
  • I'll see you at the finish line with a big can of Deep Heat in one hand and a Grande Starbucks (with an extra shot) in the other.
