Hi,

I will be setting off this Sunday (21st Sept) to cycle from Lands End to John o Groats (1100 Miles, as I can't use Motorways!!) to raise money for The Great Football Giveway.

I will be riding totally unsupported and camping along the route. Cycling across 20 English, Welsh and Scottish counties I will be in the saddle for around 7 hours a day and hope to cover the distance in around 10 days.

The Great Football giveaway is a charity that uses sport as a force for good, hand-delivering sports equipement directly to children in some of the worlds poorest communities, schools and orphan centres. Kicking a ball around is one of lifes most simple pleasures. Footballs can also help schools atract children into education or bring those from war torn countries closer together,
