I will be cycling from RAF Linton-on-Ouse to RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus in September 2012.

I'd like to support the Royal British Legion. I think the work they undertake is fantastic in helping Veterans throughout the UK and Overseas.

Any money raised will assist in furthering their endeavours. I am very proud of our Armed Forces - past and present - who have enabled us to live in a free and democratic society. Austerity measures have meant that charities have fallen short of their normal regular financial input by generous members of the public. Any contribution  - no matter how small - would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly I'd like to contribute some of the funds raised to toward a Royal Air Force Fire Service Memorial at the National Aboretum. A very well respected colleague and leading light in the RAF Fire Service unfortunately lost his life, and this would serve as a fitting memorial to him and other RAF Fire Service Members.
