Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I know from experience how often we are all directed to them these days.

What happens less often is me, Craig McClintock, running a half marathon! I will be packing my running shoes and heading to one of my favourite cities, Stockholm, in September to complete my first half marathon. The reason I've decided to take the plunge and push myself to do it is to raise money for a great cause.

Hearts & Souls is a small charity that receives no Goverment subsidies but does great work in the area I grew up, supporting the work of the local NHS Cardiac Rehabilitation Service, Active Hearts, in Buckinghamshire.

The excellent support given to my father after his heart attack and subsequent bypass surgery enabled him to return to an active life thanks to a combination of expert advice and cardiac-specific exercise rehabilitation, much of which was made possible thanks to the fundraising work of Hearts & Souls. I don't doubt that his and many other cardiac patients' recoveries would have been slower and more difficult without access to such expert rehabilitation.

Full information about the charity can be read below.

I will keep this page updated every now and then with details of my training but in the meantime, please sponsor me! I will need the motivation to make it through!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
