The British Paralympic Association is a registered charity and is responsible for selecting, entering and creating a world class environment for the ParalympicsGB team during the Summer and Winter Games. Your support enables us to give athletes the best possible preparation for the Games.

Story

During my preparation for the Beijing 2008 Paralympics I suffered a series of injuries, which left me unable to run for a number of months, I was left doing all my training sessions on a bike.  Which meant I was unable to train with my usual training group, I found a new training partner in the last place you would expect.  My next-door neighbour, Chris.  We trained together for a number of months as I tried to regain fitness for the games.  Unfortunately the injuries got the better of me and I was unable compete.

Well that was then, so what now.  Well I have retired from Athletics and was left looking for the next big challenge.  And there it was, the, Deloitte Ride Across Britain, 1000 miles in 9 days, John O’Groats- Lands End, 120 miles a day, and it is in aid of the very organization that supported me through 3 Paralympic games, Paralympics GB, and who else could I ride with other than my neighbor, Chris Spooner.

So please help make this bum numbing experience a little easier, by sponsoring Chris, and me and help us raise much needed funds for the Paralympians of the future
