Our son, Dominic suffers with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a life shortening genetic disorder that is wasting his muscles and slowly killing him, currently there is no cure, we would love to change that and are trying to raise money that goes to research into this terrible disease, please help in any way you can.

So Far I (Dom snr) have dived with sharks, done a skydive and we have a fancy dress pub crawl set to be held on the 19th of december 2008 in ilfracombe.  We as a family and with the help of our great freinds, colleagues and comunity  have raised around £2500 for DMD (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) related charities but the fight goes on and its a lengthy one. 

Dom is 5 and as medical science stands will not reach 10 without being confined to a wheelchair, following this is surgery, lengthy hospital stays and then death at around 20 years old.  He has to take strong steroids every other day and large calcium tablets every day (no fun at all for a 5yr old i can assure you) these drugs enable him to walk and function much like any 5 yr old but they are only only keeping the syptons at bay, not curing them, THERE IS NO CURE AT THIS TIME.
