Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
A little while ago I had the crazy idea to take on the 3 peak challenge, which is to climb to the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales. These are Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon respectivly, and if this idea was not crazy enough the plan is to do it in 24 hours.
To add a little sanity to the proceedings of walking up 3 perfectly good mountains only to walk back down again all in 24 hours i have decided to raise some money for charity.
My charity of choice is Bobath Wales.
Bobath wales is a registered cerebral palsy charity that depends on donations and the fund raising efforts of others, you can find out more by going to www.bobathwales.org
The plan is to do the challenge the week begining 26th July 2010.
I am being joined on this by Matthew Phillips, thank you for joining me Matt.

A little about the 3 Peaks Challenge:The 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales respectively.
These are Ben Nevis in Scotland which stands at 1,344m, Scafell Pike in England which stands at 978m and Snowdon in Wales which stands at 1,085m.The aim is to complete all 3 mountains in 24 hours, this means starting out at 5pm at Ben Nevis and completing the climb and the decent in 5 hours which we hope to benefit from the full moon for our decent in the dark. A 7 hour drive through the night to Scafell Pike arriving for 5am will give us 5 hours again to ascend and descend the mountain before a 3 hour drive to Snowdon. This gives us 4 hours to complete our final mountain if we are to come in with in our 24 hour goal.
The total walking distance of the challenge is around 27 miles with approximately 450 miles of driving.
