Project – Ban Xo - Focus on health and education for Pre-School and Primary School

Considering the complex problems that lead to a lack of resources all over the world, particularly in rural areas, it can be hard to see what contribution we can make in just a week or two. This school has applied for government funding but since they have already received a fund to barely build their school, they won’t be entitled to any more funds. Therefore, our CSR project will work in 2 different fronts:

1. Build a wall surrounding the pre-school:
Build a wall to surround their ground and protect the kids from buffalos and other animals that keep entering in the school property. The build of high wall surrounding the full school grounds will provide a healthy and safe place for the children.

2. Kitchen renovation: Kitchen renovation for the local primary school will address their desperate need of improved kitchen facilities. The current kitchen is based on bamboo structure with unsafe and leaking roof. Cooking is done on a fire on the floor and the
kitchen also serve as storage room for fire wood.  This renovation will bring healthy and safety to the children as the new facilities will receive sink and a gas stove.

We will take the opportunity in the meantime to get involved assisting teachers in the classroom and running after- school activities, especially in sport.
