36 hour Cricket Marathon · 13 April 2009

Mary Hare School is a national charity for deaf children aged 4-19. We educate, on average, 160 deaf children through immersion in written and spoken English. Pupils attend from across the UK, to access the education they deserve, making friendships with other deaf children with shared experiences.

Story

NOTE: Header is wrong. It is not a 36 hour match anymore its a dawn to dusk (16 hour) match. Also it is on MONDAY 29th JUNE 2009.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well it’s on again, the Vodafone 'Dawn til Dusk' cricket match.

Mr Mayer can once again get an insight into hell as Jurgens tries to block out the entire 16 hours, which by the second hour had even turned his batting partner slightly psychotic (I should know… it was me !!!!).

This year we are putting our bodies on the line again for the Mary Hare Foundation, raising funds so they can continue their great work with severely and profoundly deaf children. Such a great organisation to have in our community.

And as per our usual cricket etiquette (well Australian etiquette anyway!!)…. you don’t need snow for sledging!!! Time to store up some old favourites. And lets not forget its an Ashes year.

All donations are greatly appreciated, keeping in mind that Vodafone will match all donatioans (effectively doubling the amount you are giving to Mary Hare!!!!!)
