SIA Ski-a-thon · 12 September 2009

Every 2 hours, someone in the UK sustains a spinal cord injury. Their world – and that of their family – is turned upside-down. SIA aim to reach everyone affected by spinal cord injury, to connect them to all the help and support they need to life a fulfilled life.

Story

2009 is SIA's 35th anniversary, and to raise the profile of this fantastic charity, they have organised the UK's first indoor, real snow, 12 hour ski-a-thon at Xscape, Milton Keynes. For the 12 hours, each team must have one person skiing, so it will be a true test of endurance! All the money raised will help SIA in their work of supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries and their familiies, and provide publications and services to help paralysed people to live independent lives.

To support this event and SIA, Crispin Rhodes Ltd - a local specialist HR consultancy www.crispinrhodes.co.uk , has put together a team of staff and associates, and we are going to try our best to remain on our skis all day! The whole day will be jam-packed with fun things to do for the whole family, and it would be great if you could come and support us.
