ntl:Telewest Business 3 Peaks Challenge · 16 April 2008

Young people who experience homelessness are more likely to experience it later in life too. We break this cycle. We work with our national network of Youth Foyers to offer opportunities for young people to realise their power and purpose, and move on equipped to thrive as independent adults.

Story

Hi!  Thank you for visiting our Fundraising web page.

During 12th - 13th June this year, ntl:Telewest Business is sponsoring the National Three Peaks Challenge.  This challenge involves climbing the highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell) and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours!   Complete and utter madness or a walk in the (national) park?

Ever the ones to rise to a challenge, the Marketing & Strategy team within Business Improvement have decided to find out.  With this in mind, we've put together a crack (pot) team of Project Managers and Business Analysts and cleverly called ourselves "The Critical Path" (can you see what we've done there??)...

Who are we?  The Team:    Dave Wilkinson (Team Leader);  Andy McIntyre (Deputy Team Leader),  Paul Evans &  Paul Stevens.  The Supporters:  Stewart Black (Driver 1) &  Rachel Wilkinson (Driver 2).

No doubt we will be in a critical condition when we reach the end - but we are committed to deliver ourselves to the required mountains, within the required timescale and within the required budget.   Slippage is definitely not an option!

The real incentive for us completing this challenge is to raise loads of cash for our chosen charity - The Foyer Federation.  This is a great cause and aims to enable young people at risk to escape the 'no home - no job - no home' cycle by delivering a service that integrates accommodation with training, job search, personal support and motivation.

To ensure that we realise the benefit of this challenge i.e. raise loads of cash for the Foyer Federation, we need your help. We believe that this challenge is for a great cause and we hope that you agree. If so, we would really appreciate your support by making a donation online. It’s the simplest, quickest and most secure way of making a donation. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us – the Foyer Federation will receive your money faster and, if you’re a UK Tax payer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no extra cost to you! Just follow the instructions on the website. It’s simple.

Thank you in advance of your support.  Your donation will be very much appreciated.  Not only by us, but more importantly by the Foyer Federation and the young people that they will be able to help as a result of your generosity.

THANK YOU!
