    Story

With your help, we can make a big difference to Cambodia’s remote communities. We are Brandlective Communications a Digital marketing agency. We’re creating a social movement to support the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal No 10 - to reduce inequalities across the globe.

Our primary objective is to give #1milliondays of impact around the globe by 2030.

By supporting charities that keep young children safe, provide education, provide access to basic human needs and rehabilitation into communities for those that have been trafficked or imprisoned.

The following shocking statistics are only part of the driving force behind our mission, and in the hopes that we can begin to start a landslide movement, we’re sharing these with you.

Did you know that the Asia-pacific region is estimated to have the largest number of forced labour and trafficking victims, equating to over 56% of the total world estimate.

Reports by UNESCO tells us that 64,431 adolescent girls in Cambodia are not in school. While not in school they are at risk of being trafficked.

    Travel to Cambodia

We know that education is a powerful tool, it not only provides people with benefits such as status in the community, and improved lives for future generations but it also helps those in the most marginalised communities protection from human traffickers. We’ve learned that while children are not in school in Cambodia they are far more likely to be trafficked into the sex trade.

By becoming more self-assured and empowered through their academic achievements, individuals can make more informed decisions, critically evaluate situations, and exert control over their own lives. By working alongside the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, we want to help provide in part, a solution.

We plan to travel to Cambodia for 30 days to run workshops in local villages using our business, business, marketing and life skills. We will work with a number of charities we’ve partnered with - volunteering our time and knowledge to help make very real changes to the lives of these people, aiming to reduce inequalities within Cambodia.

Our workshops will help teach valuable skills to directly to charities in Cambodia enabling them to raise more awareness their work but also to young people who have missed out on traditional education.

We are committed to raising awareness of the UN Sustainability Goals and campaigning for equality across the globe. We encourage you to make small impacts any way you can; join us in helping to give all people access to basic human needs such as; food, water and education.

Why Brandlective are passionate about Reducing Inequality in the World

We want to share some of our reasons behind the passion for this campaign, in hopes that it encourages all of you to think about inequality across the world, inspire you to join us and contribute to our #1milliondays campaign.

‘I feel very passionate about human rights and having become an Amnesty International member from a young age, I strongly believe that everyone deserves the right for their voice and stories to be told, especially when they may not have the means or resources to do so themselves’ — Rachel Akiboye

‘Wanting to get involved in this campaign and eager to help others in Cambodia that may not only be suffering a lack of opportunity but will also be facing prejudice towards their gender (amongst other aspects as race, religious beliefs etc) is due to feeling lucky enough not to suffer such injustices first hand. Everyone should be as lucky. Everyone deserves a chance to live their best life’ — Briony Quinn

‘In regards to building a future, there are now internships and work experience that make up parts of degree modules since I was at university in the UK, but not in many developing countries. I want to be able to have a hand in providing that education’ — Alex Obertelli

‘Teachers throughout my schooling focused their attention on high-achievers or those that had a learning difficulties. What about everyone else in the middle? My own challenges with equality are so very 1st world, but if this can hinder my own development, I dread to think how those in Cambodia are effected by not only the lack of access to education but also the challenges with povity and access to basic human rights impacts their future. What if …. through us helping to elevate those in 3rd world countries living in poverty or without basic human needs we not only changed the direction of their lives but we could learn more about our own personal motivations, stories and feel more fulfilled?’ — Stacey Kehoe

We’re working towards helping in this way because the country of our birth, the colour of our skin, social position or gender should not dictate what we are able to achieve in this world. Goal number 10 aims to empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all - we want an active hand in helping to achieve that.

We plan to have a big impact in our #1milliondays movement through travelling to Cambodia to provide local communities with the knowledge to up skill, providing them with the opportunities derived from them due to their place of birth.

    So, how can you help?

Please donate to our #1milliondays initiative by helping us raise the funds we need to travel to Cambodia. It is through getting the ground in Cambodia that we will learn how to really make a difference. We aim to empower and up skill local charities and individuals by running a series of workshops.

We hope that by 2030, we can help to eradicate inequality across the globe in alignment with Goal 10 of the UN’s SDG’s. This same year we aim to be able to celebrate acheiving our goal of giving #1milliondays of impact to those in need across the world.

    Can you help?
