    Story

I am the Footpath Officer for local walking group Rossendale Ramblers. We have come up with an innovative plan to improve some of the worst footpaths in the area. In recent years, the famous Government cuts have left Lancashire County Council very short of funds for footpath maintenance. This situation has been made much worse by the Boxing Day floods in the area. It is against this background that Rossendale Ramblers have decided to do their bit to improve the local footpath network. We have therefore teamed up with specialists Martins Countryside Contracting Ltd, who have worked on the public footpath network in Lancashire for well over a decade.

Because the Ramblers’ funds are limited, only so many problems can be tackled, hence this Just Giving page. The more money we can raise, the more we can help the local community - so please give what you can.
