We would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who helped us along the hurrendous journey we had to take. All the money raised helped towards getting our dad/husband & grandfather back home from France to his resting place where he was born and bred. But now we face another battle with the dreaded Cancer, our mum/nan & John's wife has now been diagnosed with stage 3 Vulva Cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes. We face a long battlee ahead and the money raisled has taken 1 weight off our sholder. So thank you all once again xx

Would like to say thank you to everyone who has donated, it means the world that people can be so kind.... we need one more push as the insurance company is paying BUT not all of it and we are £2000 short to pay back the repatriation money that was lent to us.

Just to let everyone know that this story was in the paper but they did not get everything correct which is so frustrating such as saying we were on a luxury cruise ship in the south of France, we was not we were on a last family holiday for one week in northern France, they also said my name is Susan which as you can see it's not, yes we did tell the insurance company about his terminal cancer and agreed on an excess of £2,000. And what they didn't say was that he was told by the dwp to go to work and stopped his money for 18 months....

The insurance company is re- assessing the claim, they have said that they will pay part of his repatriation of £1,875 even though the cost of it is £3,875 so there is a difference of £2,000 plus the cruise ships doctor's bill of £2,000. Which has been paid for by an anonymous person as a loan that has to be paid back or dad would have been left in a morgue in France. ...
