Story
I am totally fed up with the amount of plastic that I find all around me on a daily basis - it is killing our world and I do not want that legacy to be left for our children. I would like to open this shop to inspire others, to provide motivation and ideas for plastic free living and of course to provide somewhere for people to shop without having to deal with the copious amounts of 'devil material'.
One example to view... <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FNowThisNews%2Fvideos%2F2066857040071076%2F&show_text=0&width=476" width="476" height="476" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allowFullScreen="true"></iframe>
Having priced everything up, I am working loosely on the fact that it will cost roughly £15,000 to set up without rent/ business rates etc and therefore anything you can possibly donate to help me achieve this, would be so gratefully recieved. I have set the target at £1500 because 10% of the costs would give me a massive boost.
I am hoping to provide, nuts, grains, rices, pastas, pulses, dried fruit, chocolate and seeds alongside local artisan product for sustainability i.e. honey, cloth santitary wear, sandwich wraps etc. I would like to offer sustainability from beginning to end and allow people to reduce their plastic footprint.
I am now a significant way through the process and I am currently looking for premises. Please like the facebook page 'Scoop' (Please ensure that you find the business page and not the public page :D) if you are interested in following the businesses progress.
Thank you
