    Story

Hello and thank you so much for visiting.

My name is Adam. My wife and I live in Abergavenny with our Jack Russell puppy, Pie.

Towards the end of 2016, my wife suffered a massive stroke which has left her with limited mobility. Shortly after, I left my job as a software developer to be her full-time carer.

In early 2017, we picked up an adorable Jack Russell terrier puppy from a rescue shelter and named him Pie. He has given my wife and I a new lease of life.

Just over a week ago, Pie bolted through the front door and open gate when I was signing for a parcel and he was tragically struck by a passing car, which failed to stop.

We took him straight to the vets and they had to remove most of his back left leg due to trauma. Right now, the only option to give our little lad his mobility back is a custom made prosthetic limb costing £5800.

I've raised what I can through selling my prized possessions, including my record collection, but as neither of us are able to work, we will not be able to raise the funds ourselves.

When my wife and I worked full time, we regularly hosted charity fundraisers and donated generously to various causes, including on here.

I'm hoping that karma will come around and the kindness of strangers will help us give our little Pie a new lease of life.

Thank you so very much for reading and have a wonderful day.

Love from Adam, Kirsty and Pie x
