Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit this Just Giving Page.
My best friends son Dominic was born on the 7/02/2018 as a happy,healthy baby, but by January 2019 he was diagnosed with SMA Type 1.
Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1-a rare genetic neurological condition affecting 1-6000 babies worldwide.It is a progressive and degenerative muscle weakness resulting in problems with moving,eating,breathing and swallowing.
Due to his condition Dominic is unable to sit on his own and unfortunately he will probably never walk.He is still a happy little boy and loves playing with two older brothers,with your support this can continue.
I`am hoping to raise money for the necessary treatments and equipment to allow Dominic to have the chance to grow up and live a happy life alongside his mum and two brothers.
