Story
My friend Chris was diagnosed with Throat Cancer after a routine visit to the dentist just before Christmas. Not long after, my friend Lorna was diagnosed with Lobular Breast Cancer. I wanted to do something that would challenge me while they were being challenged by their treatments. Enter running a 6:5k race. As I couldn’t run for a bus this certainly is proving challenging. I am spurred on by the way they are dealing with the journeys they are on. Every step I run is nothing compared to what they are dealing with and they are inspiring me to keep going. Please help me raise a huge amount of money for Cancer Research UK and Pinkribbonfoundation

5 years agoThis is the last share to give you a chance to donate to the 2 cancer charities I am supporting. Please if you haven't donated this is your chance to tip me over the £1000 target. Update on Chris and Lorna is that they are doing fine.I am amazed at how they have coped so far in, what for both of them, have been difficult times. We need to support cancer charities with the research they are doing. Seeing what these two have had to endure during their treatments makes me realise how important it is to refine treatments as well as finding cures.

5 years agoThat's it done folks. A couple of months ago I could not have run for a bus. Today I did 6:5k within the time allocated. Just a wee bit pleased with myself. Thank you all for your donations and messages of support. I will leave my page up for a wee bit longer in the hope that I can smash my target
