My lovely husband has a terrible condition called Alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency. This is a genetic disorder that causes lung and liver disease or both. Rolly has emphysema and bronchiectisis, diverticulitis and other health complaints he has lung function of 37% He has not been able to work for over 2 years and he relies on nebulizers 4 times a day, takes countless steroid tablets and regular antibiotics. The simplest of tasks is also difficult and causes breathlessness and pain.
Despite his problems he is a very happy go lucky man who doesn't complain. He has lost 3 siblings to this condition, all 50 and under.

I originally started this page to buy a portable oxygen concentrator for use on airlines to help Rolly enjoy getting on holiday and away from the struggles of living with the disease and all that comes with it.

However the marvellous people at the Alpha 1 foundation have gifted us a concentrator that needs repair. We are going to use the funds raised so far to repair the one given to us. We thank you all so very much.

We would like to keep this page running to raise more funds to give back to the charity in order for them to be able to repair the remaining 2 that they have, and perhaps a little extra to keep them running for others who need to use them.
